Permit history lookup

General info only. Check with a licensed pro and your local building department.

Before you buy a house or hire someone, see what work was permitted at an address.

Official ways to look it up

  1. Denver: search the address in Denver's official permit system, Denver Accela Citizen Access. Denver also publishes Residential Construction Permits and Commercial Construction Permits as free open data (catalog).
  2. Aurora: the city publishes Building Permits (last 6 months) on its official open data server (Aurora open data).
  3. Other cities: start at our permit guides and ask the building office.

Prototype: search a sample

Prototype — may be stale. This searches a copy we downloaded on 2026-10-30: the 2,000 most recent Denver residential permits (issued 2026-05-04 to 2026-10-29). Older permits and most addresses are not in it. "No results" does not mean no permits — always confirm with the official search above. Your search stays in your browser.
